A Living Path of Yogic Sādhanā in Rishikesh

A space for daily sādhanā: quiet, disciplined, and sincere.

What Is Yogamani?

A Space For Sincere Practice

Yogamani is a living space of yogic sādhanā in Rishikesh.
It is not a school in the conventional sense, nor a system designed for accumulation or achievement. It is a space where practice is lived daily, quietly and consistently, as it has been in the Himalayan tradition for generations.

Here, the practices of Ashtanga, Hatha, prāṇāyāma, meditation, and sound are not approached as techniques to collect or experiences to consume. They are treated as disciplines to embody — refined over time through repetition, observation, and inner attention.

Yogamani exists to carry forward the teachings of Himalayan yogis and sādhus who lived disciplined lives of practice, often away from recognition or institutions. Their wisdom was not transmitted through certification or structure, but through presence, lived example, and direct guidance. This spirit continues here.

Yogamani is not a destination, nor an identity to adopt. It is a meeting point — where seekers, practitioners, and teachers come together to practice, listen, and serve. What unfolds here is not something to finish or complete, but something to enter and return to, day after day.

What We Offer?

Yogamani offers different ways to step into sādhanā, depending on where you are in your journey, how long you are staying, and the depth of immersion you are seeking. Each path carries the same spirit of practice — discipline, continuity, and inner attention — while differing in structure and intensity.

Why Yogamani Exists?

Yogamani exists to protect and continue the living tradition of yogic sādhanā in a time when yoga is increasingly rushed, diluted, and treated as a commodity.

For generations, Himalayan yogis and sādhus practiced in silence, discipline, and devotion — not to teach, not to certify, but to live the path. Their knowledge was passed not through systems or institutions, but through presence, observation, and daily practice.

Over time, much of this spirit has been overshadowed by performance, branding, and quick consumption. Yogamani was not created to compete with this, but to stand quietly apart from it.

Yoga as purification

Yoga as a lifelong path

Yoga as discipline

Our Guiding Masters

Yogamani is shaped by the presence and guidance of Himalayan yogis, sādhus, and monks whose lives were rooted in discipline, silence, and devotion.

These masters did not teach through institutions or formal systems.
Their wisdom was shared through lived example, direct presence, and daily practice — often away from recognition, names, or lineage claims.

“Sādhanā is not something to learn.
It is something to return to
day after day, in silence.”

—Yogamani

Living conversations from the path

At Yogamani, listening is part of practice.

These conversations are shared with sādhus, monks, and long-term practitioners of the Himalayan path, and are not interviews or teachings, but moments to sit quietly and absorb the lived experience of those who have walked this path

Yogamani & Japan

Eight Years of Trust, Respect & Shared Practice

For more than eight years, Yogamani has welcomed Japanese practitioners devoted to disciplined study and retreat life in India.

Through courses, sādhanā programs, sound healing, and cultural guidance, a quiet continuity has formed — grounded in humility, structure, and mutual respect.

This relationship was not built through marketing.
It grew through sincerity.

Practice recognizes practice — regardless of language.

Bhrama Seva:
Serving those who walked the path
Seva is the natural expression of gratitude. Through Brahma Seva, Yogamani quietly supports sādhus who preserve the living spirit of sādhanā in the Himalayas.
Practice flows inward. Seva flows outward.

Beyond Program Centers

Yogamani is also connected to spaces that are not retreat venues, but part of its spiritual inheritance.

• Rishikesh ashrams sustained through ongoing sādhanā
• Kedarnath region ashrams, where austerity shaped the path
• Himalayan kutirs and caves of wandering monks
• Gurudev’s ashram
• Other lineage-connected centers

Entry into such spaces unfolds through readiness, sincerity, and discipline.

Begin Your Practice

Practice is not something to complete.
It is something to return to.

If you feel ready to step into a steady rhythm of sādhanā, whether for a single class, a retreat, or a longer course, you are welcome.

Yogamani is not a destination.
It is a way of walking.
